The "Muralidhar" of the group, Ashwath is one of those who get younger in spirit with every passing year. Among the eldest Zansam members, he is by far the youngest in spirit. Equally capable of lifting sagging spirits as he is at weaving a web of melody with his flutes.
Flute had captured Ashwath’s imagination since childhood. When he joined engineering college, someone presented him with a flute. Along with his encouraging friends they started to Jam and the rest, as they say, is history. Ashwath, like the Zanzi singers, is also a self-taught musician, relying on his keen and sensitive ear for music.
Having retired from Oil and Gas Industry recently with his last position in L&T, Ashwath is pursuing his own business ventures while distributing his time between his family and his first love and passion...his music.
The 'josh' of Zansam is as integral to the singers in the group as he is to the musicians. Ashwath brings to Zansam an additional ability to fill in with percussions when needed and that adds a whole new dimenstion to him as a Zansam team member.
No 'Mehfil' or practice is complete without Ashwath and his melodious flutes.
